Studio Editorial: Collaboration with Stylist Lauren Frank
This session unfolded slowly. It was built around seven looks and took the better part of a day.
Lauren arrived with pieces that felt like extensions of her own wardrobe. We began there. The clothing she might reach for on an ordinary morning. Oversized layers. Denim. Black on black. Practical silhouettes with intention built into them.
The first frames were grounded. Real. The kind of styling that lives comfortably in daylight.
As the hours passed, the energy shifted.
The leather came out. Structure replaced softness. Gloves altered posture. Earrings caught the light and redirected it. Coats held their shape without assistance. The styling moved from daily uniform to something more sculptural. More deliberate.
By the final looks, the mood was unmistakably editorial. Shoulders exposed. Lines sharpened. The clothing no longer blended into the background. It commanded it.
Seven looks. One studio. A full day of refinement.
What I appreciate about collaborating with Lauren is her restraint. Nothing is added without purpose. Each layer adjusts the narrative slightly. Each accessory changes the way the body moves in front of the camera.
We let the wardrobe guide the arc of the session — from wearable to expressive, from personal to editorial.
The studio stayed quiet. The clothing did the talking.
