My Personal Branding Session
I was in need of new photos of myself for my website and social media, so I booked a branding session for myself. I hired Cindy Swanson to do the photography. and she was fantastic! She set up a mood board for me on Pinterest and I added the photos. I came up with a shot list of the shots I wanted to be sure to get. I was very inspired by photos of Lara Jade, a photographer I admire. I decided that I wanted to go for an “in studio” look to my photos as opposed to an “in home” or “street style” look.
Below is my shot list for the session. I pulled the photos of the poses I liked from my mood board and put them into a document. I noted what outfit I wanted to wear for each pose. Again, these were just shots I wanted to be sure to get. After we got those we could get creative. My outfits were somewhat inspired by the photos in my mood board. I found my wardrobe lacking some of the looks I really liked but I made due with what I had. From this document I was able the gather a list of the props I needed.
Having a shot list like this is very helpful come shoot day as things get a little hectic. The following are some of the photos from the session. Please note that you can shop my looks at the end of the post.
Hope you enjoy.
